Hi, my name is Rick Campbell Pastor of Deployed Church, an online ministry of Oromocto Baptist Church. I want to invite you to a new podcast for Christian military members and retirees.
The aim of this podcast is to discuss faith, family, and work life as a Christian who is currently active or retired from the military.
The goal of the podcast is to pass on the experiences of Christian military members and retirees to other members, their families and to the broader church family.
The topics we will be discussing are faith, family, and work. I look forward to the experiences that are shared in the podcast, that they will uplift and strengthen you in your walk with Christ.

Part 1 From Brokenness to Redemption - Jimmy Damiani - 20 min
Jimmy shares his compelling life story on the DP1 Podcast, recounting his upbringing in an Italian Roman Catholic family in Hamilton, Ontario, before moving to New Brunswick amid family turmoil caused by his father's infidelity, leading to a drift from faith and a troubled youth marked by delinquency and lack of guidance. He describes working 25 years at Hub Meat Packers, struggling with addictions that destroyed his first marriage and finances, and a pivotal encounter with a Christian coworker named David who persistently shared the gospel. Rock bottom prompted Jimmy to join the military in 2008 after an unexpected online meeting with a devout Christian woman on a dating site, who became his wife and guided him back to faith; he enlisted with a Bible, deepened his studies during service, and fully committed to Christ in 2010, now enjoying retirement, attending a small Baptist church, and reflecting on God's interconnected interventions throughout his journey.
